Mayor John H. Hartman

Mayor John H. Hartman was born and raised in Lebanon. He graduated from Lebanon High School, and Millersville University with a degree in education. He is a retired physics teacher from the Derry Township School District. Mayor Hartman was the Mayor of Cleona Borough from 1977 to 1997 and 2001 to the present time.

Chief Raymond J. Barry III 

Chief Barry began his career in Law Enforcement in the United States Air Force in 1972. After the Air Force, he was employed with the Lebanon County Correctional Facility for 13 years where he left at the rank of Sergeant. He than worked for the Lebanon County Detectives for 10 years and retired to become Cleona's 6th Chief of Police in 1996.

Chief Barry is a certified instructor for the department for firearms, first aid/CPR, baton and O.C. and, is also an Adjunct Professor for Harrisburg Area Community College, Lebanon Campus, and teaches at the HACC police academy and state constables.

He is a graduate of the class of 1970 Lebanon High School, and holds an Associates degree in Community Services, a bachelors in Administration of Justice both from Penn State University, and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University.

Chief Barry is also certified as a police cyclist from the International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPIMBA), and is a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Riding Club.

Sergeant Rager began his career in Law Enforcement with the Cleona Borough Police Department in 1998 as a part-time officer, and became full-time in 2000. He graduated from the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy in 1996. Sergeant Rager was promoted to his current rank in October of 2005.

Matthew has several duties within the department such as accreditation manager, field training officer, maintaining the departments computer systems and report system (cNET), Uniform Crime Report's (UCR'S) the departments web site and is the departments historian.

He is also a certified Field Training Officer (FTO), Police Officer Supervisor (POSIT), graduate of the Command Institute for Police Executives (CIPE) through the PA Chiefs of Police, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, Cops in Shops, DUI Checkpoint Enforcement, Enforcement of the PA Motor Vehicle Inspection Regulations, VASCAR (Visual Average Speed Computer and Recorder) and is a certified Emergency Medical Technician.

Patrolman Robert Henning Jr.

Patrolman Robert Henning began his career in Law Enforcement in a large Metropolitan Police Department in Dauphin County and was hired in August of 2006 with the Cleona Borough Police Department.

Patrolman Matthew Bartal began his law enforcement career with the Berks County Sheriffs Department and has worked for police departments in Berks and Schuylkill Counties. Matthew was hired in August of 2007 as a Patrolman with the Cleona Borough Police Department.
